পটুয়াখালী জেলার ১নং লাউকাঠি ইউনিয়ন ৫নং ওয়ার্ড শ্রীরামপুর চারাবাড়ি পন্ডিত বাড়িতে শুক্রবার দিবাগত রাত আনুমানিক ১০টার সময় রাতের আধারে পরকীয়া করতে গেলে আপত্তিকর অবস্থায় প্রেমিক কামরুল ও প্রেমিকা ফাতিমা আক্তারকে গ্রামবাসীরা হাতে নাতে ধরে ফেলে। এমতাবস্থায় গ্রামবাসীরা উত্তেজিত হয়ে তাদেরকে মারধর করে এবং কামরুলের মাথা ন্যাড়া করে দেয়।
ঘটনাসূত্রে জানা যায়, ফাতিমা একজন বিবাহিত মেয়ে তার স্বামী আছে। এবং কামরুলের গ্রামের বাড়ি পার্শবর্তী গ্রামের কলবাড়ি গ্রামে। এলাকাবাসী এবং দুই যুগলের কাছ থেকে যানা যায় তাদের তিন থেকে চার বছরের পরকীয়ার সম্পর্ক রয়েছে। তারা প্রায়ই একজন অন্যজনের সাথে গভীর রাতে সবার অগচরে দেখা করতো।
তারা দুজনে গ্রামবাসীর কাছে আটক হওয়ার পরে গ্রামের ভেতর একটা অপ্রিতিকর পরিস্থিতির সৃষ্টি হয়। পরবর্তীতে গ্রামের গন্যমান্য ব্যাক্তিরা উপস্থিত হলে পরিস্থিতি শান্ত হয় এবং শনিবার সকালে গ্রামের শালিসির মাধ্যমে বিষয়টি সমাধান করা হবে বলে জানা গেছে।
